About Janny
I'm Janny Kamphof, an industrial product design student based in Groningen. I look beyond the product to examine the system around it: Why are things discarded? How can design prevent that? My projects—from rethinking the sneaker to an educational kit about flax—are exercises in this systems-thinking.
For my graduate internship, I want to apply this mindset to design products that are smarter from the start.

I was responsible for repairing furniture, which was then sold in the "Second Chance" corner. My role also included ensuring proper waste separation and the packaging and repackaging of products. This work directly contributed to waste reduction and maintaining product quality.
